Lighthouse, Salwa is located close to the Fahaheel Expressway giving excellent accress to both South Kuwait and Kuwait City. Salwa is a residential district, popular with expats and is well served by British and American schools for all ages. Shopping for groceries is easy with several co-operative societies close by and the Sultan Center supermarket where a wide variety of European, American as well as Arabic and Indian foods are available. On the seaside there are three large hotels with excellent restaurants and beach facilities offering good swimming, diving and sailing. There is also a large public beach and picnic area.
